Types of visual impairment
The best coordination of the cornea and crystalline lens are necessary for clear vision. Sight impaired eye resembles a camera with a distorted focus that takes vague images.
Nearsightedness (Myopia)
In case of nearsightedness, the eye axis is extended or the light refractive power of cornea is increased. As a result, the beam is collected at one point in front of the retina, and the image is blurred on the retina.
Farsightedness (Hyperopia)
In case of farsightedness, the eye axis has is shortened or the light refractive power of cornea is is weakened. The light beam of collected behind the retina and the image is blurred on the retina
Astigmatism
During astigmatism, the cornea of different curvature and light beam is not focused on retina at one point, so the image is vague
