New Hospitals will perform coronary procedures using US-made stents

At New Hospitals, elective and emergency coronary procedures will only be performed using American-made stents from Abbott. This promotion has been made possible after signing a multilateral cooperation agreement with the American company’s representative office and obtaining special prices. Interventions in the feeding (coronary) arteries of the heart are performed for recanalization of the coronary artery and securing of adequate blood flow. During the procedure, a spiral mesh called a stent, is inserted into the artery, which remains permanently in the blood vessel to allow the blood to flow freely and provide oxygen to the heart muscle.
