Clinical Trials Department
The Department of Clinical Trials has been functioning at New Hospitals Since 2017. There are 12 principal investigators, 15 sub-investigators, a team of 7 experienced study coordinators, pharmacists, nurses, and all the technical assistance required for clinical trials. The department offers a conference room with wireless internet and all the IT equipment. Rooms for clinical trials have all the required inventory: storage cases with locks and printing, copying, and scanning equipment. Working rooms for CRAs and the pharmacist are isolated. Rooms for examining study patients are also isolated. An archive for clinical trial-related materials is available and equipped to the required standards.
In the clinical trial department, there are three +4-8C refrigerators as well as two -70C refrigerators, cooled centrifuges, incubators, scales, 12-lead ECG, the newest system for echocardiography and spirometer tests etc. All the equipment used in research is calibrated and has all the required certificates.
The clinic has performed a high number of clinical trials in the following indications: endocrinology, rheumatology, cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, neurology, ophthalmology, oncology, gynecology, general therapy, angiography, cardiac surgery, general and other types of specialist surgery.
New Hospitals has a local ethics committee covering all the indications, which operates under a set of SOPs in compliance with international ethics norms.
